The Fraud and Benefit Recovery Unit of South Central Ohio Job and Family Services prevents and detects fraudulent use of public assistance benefits, helping to make sure funds are available for those who need help. Cases of fraud are referred to the county prosecutor for criminal or civil action and SCOJFS collection of over-payment of benefits are in accordance with state and federal regulations.
