Job Seekers who visit our OMJ Center resource rooms will have access to many free services which will assist them in successfully acquiring meaningful employment.  Our Workforce Services team is specialized in assisting the Job Seeker with resume writing and job searching.  In addition, the resource rooms offer the ability to utilize computers, copiers, phones, fax machines and many other resources which are important in finding that perfect job. 

Priority of services will be given to Veterans who visit our OMJ Centers.

Training

Training may be available to the Job Seeker through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA).  Funding through WIOA is available to assist qualified Adults and Dislocated Workers. WIOA is NOT an entitlement program therefore consideration will go to participants who meet eligibility and suitability for a training program.  If you need additional skills to be successful in landing a job, ask our Workforce Specialists for more information about WIOA.
Public Assistance

Public assistance refers to government programs that provide funding to communities, individuals and families in need. Examples include: Cash Assistance, Food Assistance, Medicaid, Child Care Assistance, Transportation Assistance and Fraud.

Child Support

Child Support is money paid by a parent, who isn’t living with his or her children, to help cover the cost of their care. Child Support helps guarantee that children’s basic needs are met: from food, shelter and clothes to education, transportation and medical expenses.

Protective Services

We provide protective services to the elderly and children who are in danger of harm, unable to protect themselves, and/or have no one else to assist them. SCOJFS is mandated to investigate and evaluate all reports of suspected abuse and neglect.
